Catalan courses
Catalan language certificates issued by UB Language Services
The certificates issued by UB Language Services are equivalent to those issued by the Secertariat for Language Policy of the Generalitat de Catalunya and are therefore equally valid for accrediting Catalan language skills in calls for applications for public employment.
- The first Basic certificate (A1) is an official certification of the Catalan Interuniversity Commission for Language Training and Certification (CIFALC). Students of Language Services courses take the tests to obtain this certificate at the end of the A1 course. This level corresponds to level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) of the European Council.
- The second Basic certificate (A2) is an official certification of the CIFALC and is equivalent to the Basic level certificate (A2) issued by the Generalitat. Students of Language Services courses take the tests to obtain this certificate at the end of the A2 course. This level corresponds to level A2 of the CEFR.
- The Elementary certificate (B1) is an official certification of the CIFALC and is equivalent to the Elementary level certificate (B1) issued by the Generalitat. Students of Language Services courses take the tests to obtain this certificate at the end of the B1 course. This level corresponds to level B1 of the CEFR.
- The Intermediate certificate (B2) is an official certification of the CIFALC and is equivalent to the Intermediate level certificate (B2) issued by the Generalitat. This level corresponds to level B2 of the CEFR.
- The Proficiency certificate (C1) and the proficiency certificate in Catalan language for teaching (C1) are official certifications of CIFALC and are equivalent to the Proficiency level certificate (C1) issued by the Generalitat. This level corresponds to level C1 of the CEFR..
- The Advanced certificate (C2) is an official certification of the CIFALC and is equivalent to the Advanced level certificate (C2) issued by the Generalitat. This level corresponds to level C2 of the CEFR.
