BCNSETS is the web site of the Barcelona Research
Group in Set Theory. The Group is based at the
Department of Logic, History and Philosophy of Science

The Group's main research interests are in:
descriptive set theory, forcing, generic absoluteness, infinite combinatorics, large cardinals,
foundations and philosophy of set theory, and applications of set theory to other areas of mathematics.
Regular activities include the weakly Set Theory Seminar
and an Advanced Topics Course. Additional
activities and informal seminars are organized by graduate students.
The Group maintains close contact and collaborates with other
Research Groups in Set Theory around the world,
and regularly hosts visiting researchers.
Financed exchange programmes
are currently active with the Equipe de Loqique, in Paris, and the University of Wuppertal.
The Group is funded by the Government of Catalonia and the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science.
