«Gender
and Well-being: Work, Family and Public Policies», G&WB~Net
aims to provide new methodologies about production and well-being access
from a multidisciplinary approach. We aim to discuss the methodologies
that enable to understand the process by which women and men in different
countries and different social and cultural contexts generate and access
well-being during their life course. The multidisciplinary approach, the
multidimensional notion of well-being and the specific perspective chosen,
based on women’s historical experience of individual and collective
quality of life, will allow to identify the individual, familial and
public strategies used to generate and facilitate access to adequate,
equitable and sustainable living conditions. Historical approach, will
afford patterns about the different strategies involving well-being
provision production and distribution, with the aim of contribute to the
most accurate understanding of the nowadays situation of European citizens
in the access to life quality and well-being.
