Arab-style decoration

Arab-style decoration on the wall that supports the musicians’ gallery, or choir.

The Paramymph Hall’s decorative scheme uses exuberant decoration that covers every inch of its surfaces with geometric and plant motifs, employing stone, marble and alabaster with polychrome plasterwork. The decorative painting is Neo-Mudéjar in style and appearance, even though the ornamental subjects are drawn from the Plateresque and Renaissance tradition. Instead, the Mudéjar style comes through in the polychrome technique on display.
