The President of the Catalan government, Francesc Macià, receives Pere Bosch Gimpera, Rector of the University of Barcelona between 1933 and 1939, accompanied by the interim Rector José Mur Ainsa and the Catalan government's Minister of Culture, Ventura Gasol. Rector Bosch's first public act was to attend the funeral of President Macià, who died on 25 December 1933.
