Wavefront Engineering Research Group The Wavefront Engineering Research Group (WavEng) is a research unit within the Applied Physics and Optics Department at the Universitat de Barcelona . The team is composed by four permanent researchers, one post-doc fellow and several graduate and undergraduate students. The research of the group is focused on the following topics:

About the WavEng logoThis false-color four-leaf clover-like image represents the x component of the TM term of the magnetic field of a highly focused gaussian beam (beam waist radius 0.4 lambda) at z=0. The inner structure (the tiny four red spots) clearly shows that the contribution of the evanescent term is not negligible.
