Your temporary student card will give you access to many UB services, as well as to specific services provided solely for temporary visiting students.
You can use the computer facilities in the UB faculty or school in which you are registered on presentation of your temporary student card.

Following enrolment, you will be entitled to a UB email account and online access to view your academic record ('expedient' in Catalan), the ongoing account of the subjects you have completed and are studying.
To enter your personal web space you'lll need to key in the ID number you were given on enrolment and a password that you have created.
At the start of each semester, the UB Language Service (Serveis Lingüísitics) offers visiting students a beginners course in Catalan. Information about this is available at the following links:

These are delivered by the UB Institute of Hispanic Studies on the Plaça Universitat Campus. The Institute organizes Spanish courses for ERASMUS and Bilateral Agreement exchange students.
The courses for ERASMUS and Bilateral Agreement exchange students during the 2008-2009 academic year are scheduled as follows:

a) to have been admitted to the UB as a Socrates-ERASMUS or Bilateral Agreement student
b) to take the level test on the dates given above (students do not have to enrol in order to take the level test)

Most of the faculties and university schools have restaurants and cafeterias. There is also a main university dining hall on the Pedralbes Campus, near the Faculty of Fine Arts, which offers a fixed price menu and a self-service restaurant.
UB Sports on the Diagonal Campus, is a large sports complex that offers members of the University of Barcelona the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sporting activities.
You can use the facilities on payment of a membership fee calculated on the basis of the length of your stay in the UB.
Most of the faculties and schools at the University of Barcelona organize welcome sessions for students on international exchange programs at the beginning of each semester. Usually, you should receive details of these in your letter of acceptance.
