The bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications at the University of Barcelona provides scientific, technological and socioeconomic training to produce versatile, flexible, creative and competitive professionals able to conceive, design and produce electronic equipment and systems, especially for use with information and communication technologies in the field of electronics. They are moreover willing to collaborate with professionals specialized in related technologies and able to make technological decisions based on criteria of cost, quality, safety, sustainability, time and respect for the ethical principles of the profession. It provides training in the design, implementation and management of the systems responsible for transmitting and receiving any type of information, whether through the radiation of electromagnetic waves, the conducting of light pulses through optical fibres or the emission of acoustic waves.

Objectives

What you will learn The scientific, technological and socioeconomic principles of electronic engineering and telecommunications, and the creative and competitive skills to work in this field. Skills to design and produce electronic devices and systems with a special focus on IT and electronics. Teamwork skills with professionals in similar disciplines, decision making skills informed by such considerations as project costing, quality, safety, sustainability, and good practices and professional ethics. What you will need Personal interest in science and new technologies. Logical reasoning skills. Ability in mathematics, physics and computer studies. Motivation to study the operation and structure of technological devices. Innovative potential. Successfully completed school leaver studies in subjects of science and technology, especially physics and mathematics. Applicants are also recommended to have notions of electrical engineering, chemistry, industrial technology, biology and technical drawing.

Las prácticas contribuyen a la formación integral de los estudiantes universitarios y facilitan el conocimiento de una metodología de trabajo adecuada a la realidad profesional. De este modo, ofrecen una experiencia práctica que permite la inserción de los futuros titulados en el mercado laboral.

Las prácticas son tutorizadas y se evalúan. Por lo tanto constan al expediente académico del estudiante. Además, se pueden hacer prácticas extracurriculares de un máximo de 500 horas, que se pueden prorrogar hasta 900 horas. Tanto en cuanto a las prácticas curriculares como las extracurriculares, hace falta la formalización previa de un convenio de cooperación educativa con la entidad colaboradora donde se tienen que hacer las prácticas.
