Introduction

The bachelor's degree in International Business focuses on the management of businesses, bodies and institutions in an international context. This degree also enables students to learn the main languages used in the business world since it is taught entirely in English and includes several Languages for Business subjects, including German, French, Italian, Russian and Chinese.

The bachelor's degree in International Business provides students with the necessary knowledge and tools to make economic, financial, business and marketing decisions, taking into account international determinants and repercussions. It promotes international economic analysis and acquisition of the necessary competences to manage a company's international development or pursue a career at the international institutions involved in international transactions and cooperation Graduates can work in export companies, multinationals, public bodies (regional, national or international), companies devoted to economic and commercial promotion, and NGOs involved in international cooperation.

Objectives

What you will learn The degree provides a learning experience that is specifically adapted to the requirements of internationalized business activities. It provides the training to work at management level in companies involved in international business.   • Interest in the economy and the corporate world in an international context.
  • Natural ability in mathematics and statistics.
  • Interest in culture and business in other parts of the world.
  • Interest in and acceptance of different cultural perspectives.
  • Knowledge of English (the degree is taught entirely in English; the minimum level required is the equivalent of secondary and upper secondary education or official certification of level B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference).
  • Advanced knowledge of new information technologies

Pre-enrolment

Students that have studied abroad and who wish to study at the University of Barcelona may be admitted to EHEA bachelor's degree courses. Procedures for gaining admission will depend on the qualifications held by each applicant.

Previous years

Placements

Placements are supervised by tutors and subject to assessment.They are therefore included in the academic record.  There is also an option to complete non-curricular placements of up to 500 hours, which can be extended to 900 hours. For both curricular and non-curricular placements, an educational cooperation agreement is signed between the UB and the company, institution or other organization at which the placement will be carried out.
