If you're planning to begin your university studies at the University of Barcelona, you'll see that there is a wide range of study courses to choose from.

What are the new EHEA bachelor's degree courses?

The degree courses are designed according to the directives set by the European Higher Education Area and they lead to an official university qualification, in most cases for a total of 240 European credits. The student who successfully completes one of these courses will be considered to have acquired a general knowledge base of a given study area, an understanding of specific aspects of this knowledge base as related to professional practice and, finally, a series of cross-disciplinary skills and competences from that area to others-in short, the knowledge and know-how he or she will need to enter a profession in the labour market.

When you choose what to study, you'll see that the new degrees have been grouped in five different areas, referred to as branches of knowledge:

  • Arts and Humanities
  • Sciences
  • Health Sciences
  • Social Sciences and Law
  • Engineering and Architecture
