Objectives and admission

Learning objectives:
General objective:
- To acquire knowledge of NGO management in the framework of international cooperation and to apply it in a practical way to the creation of an original project.

Specific objectives:
- To understand the international cooperation system and the role that NGOs have played through history.
- To understand the legal framework for the creation of an NGO.
- To learn the different ways to obtain finance and to implement different fund-raising tools.
- To understand the basic concepts of economic and financial management for an NGO.
- To develop communication strategies to achieve a media presence and build a positive institutional image.
- To acquire skills for human resource management in NGOs, including volunteer and paid staff.
- To learn about different executive management strategies and develop leadership skills.
- To develop strategic thinking skills for organizational management.
- To create and develop an innovative social project built on the knowledge acquired in the specialization.

Recommended applicant profiles and admission requirements:
The course is intended for anyone with initiative for the management and creation of social projects.

Admission for applicants not holding a degree qualification:
Students who are not university graduates may be admitted on these courses. These students will be eligible for a university extension course certificate.Information regarding the entry requirements in this case can be obtained from the course coordinators.
