Recipients of this grant are exempt from the 40% surcharge on the fee per credit that is charged to students who already hold an official university degree/s when they begin a course to obtain a further degree. This surcharge does not apply to enrolment for official postgraduate courses (university master’s degree courses and doctoral programs) or doctoral programs that are not EHEA-adapted (in accordance with the Catalan Government’s Decree on fees for academic services in public universities).
This surcharge exemption is for degree-holders who meet the academic and financial requirements described in the General State Call for Study Grants and Financial Aid.
General requirements:
Spanish nationality. If the applicant is a foreigner, he/she or one of the main breadwinners in the family unit must be working in Spain.
Students are not eligible if they hold an official master’s degree or an academic qualification that enables them to undertake professional activities. However, the grant is open to holders of the diplomas that are required to gain admission to second cycle or official master’s degree courses. It is also open to bachelor’s degree holders or bachelor’s degree students who wish to access an official master’s degree course.
Students must meet the academic and financial requirements established in the call for applications.
There are two calls for applications, one in November and one in February.
