The conference will be opened by Carles Martínez, director general of Planning and the Environment of the Catalan government (Generalitat de Catalunya), Gemma Fonrodona, vice-rector for Students and Language Policy of the University of Barcelona, Meritxell Simó, representative of the Dean's Office of the UB Faculty of Philology, and M. Carme Junyent, president of GELA.
