Particle Physics Workshop at the UB

Tenth edition of the Particle Physics Workshop, an activity addressed to upper secondary students included in the international project of science dissemination Hands on Particle Physics. The workshop, entitled "Descobrint la física de partícules amb l'LHC", is divided into three parts: first, UB researchers who collaborate with the CERN pronounce a lecture about particle physics; then, students analyse real data obtained from the LHC (results are shared with the ones got by other groups all over the world by means of videoconferences); and finally, the studies offered at the Faculty of Physics are presented and students enjoy a guided tour of the laboratories.
