The climate change causes effects such as the sea level rise, the disappearance of lots of coastlines, disappearance of coral reefs, changes in the bird migration routes, increase of invasive species in lots of areas, or the emergence of tropical diseases in temperate areas. Future consequences of this deep change are unpredictable in all the planet, and in this situation, a new movement -known as neo-green - is proposing alternatives to manage biological richness.
The debate and participation meeting "Biodiversity towards global change" will cover the impact of the Anthropocene, a term used to refer to the new geological period in which the human species has become an essential biogeochemistry agent, with capacity to affect not only their own lives but also the planet's.
The activity is free but registration is needed, sending an email to irbio@ub.edu.
