Exhibition: “Els plaers de mirar. Tresors del fons bibliogràfic de la Universitat de Barcelona”
The exhibition shows how humanity used writing and books to understand the surrounding world and transmit uncertainties, beliefs or lifestyles. It takes the visitor to know different aspects of the oldest books: the difference between manuscript, incunabula and printed, the different support, scriptures, and bookbindings.
It will open on Thursday, November 16, at 7 p.m. at the Museum of Catalan History. The opening will be held by the vice-rector for Arts, Culture and Heritage of the UB, Salvador García Fortes, and the director of the Museum, Margarida Sala. There will be a guided tour around the exhibition after the speeches.
