The University of Barcelona organises the first edition of the photography competition “Where does the UB go in summer?”, which is open to students from the UB, the UB Group, UB-affiliated centres, School of Modern Languages (EIM) and Hispanic Studies, as well as to teaching and research staff, and administrative and service staff of the UB and of the UB Group, together to members of the UB Alumni Association.

Those interested in taking part are required to upload a photo, in which the letters UB appear, to the application of the competition. Photographs can include folders, students ID, T-shirts, postcards, books or any other element of the University in which the letters UB can be read. The letters can also be made by the same participants.

The deadline for submitting the photographs will finish on 26 September, at 20.00. Once the deadline is over, a jury made up of members of the UB will choose 15 finalist photographs. On 3 - 24 October, University followers on Facebook will be able to vote their favourite photos. The winner of the competition will be able to enrol for free in any modular 55-hour language course at the EIM, during the second semester of the academic year 2012-2013. The winner will have the opportunity to choose the language he or she wants to study from the wide range of languages offered at the EIM.
