Winning design of the UB folder 2015-2016 announced
Today, 13 March, Víctor Granados Luque, student of Audiovisual Communication, has received the prize for Vola amb la UB, the winning design of the UB folder for the academic year 2015-2016. The award ceremony took place in the Aula Ramon y Cajal at the Historic Building. The vice-rector for Students and Language Policy, Gemma Fonrodona, and the vice-rector for Comunication and Projection, Pere J. Quetglas, and the representative of the RACC, Virna Camizzaro, participated in the event. The ninth edition of the competition Carpeta UB (UB Folder) received seventy-seven applications. Then, the jury selected nine designs which were voted by the university community.

Vola amb la UB is the award-winning design with 3,007 votes, nearly 40% of the total number of votes cast: 7,548. Mar Colomer Roma, student of Fine Arts, has received the second prize for her design UB Caràcter Mediterrani!, which received 1,217 votes; and the third prize has been given to Marta Planagumà Franco, student of Mathematics, for the design Construint història, which polled 1,096 votes.
The rest of shorlisted proposals were:Històries en blau (716 votes), by Maria Carretero and Maria Molano; Bombolles UB (558 votes), by Garazi Berrizbeitia; Tota llavor és un arbre en potència (459 votes), by Gemma Fontanals; Tots fem UB (276 votes), by Marian López; Perduda a lʼEixample (160 votes), by Laia Arias, and 1 Bé (59 votes), by Rubén Pineda.
The winner has received 1,000 euros, and the second and third winners have been given 300 and 200 euros respectively. All shortlisted participants have received 100 euros. Moreover, all participants have obtained a certifying document that proves their participation in the competition.
