The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) of the United Kingdom has authorized the use of T34 Biocontrol in Europe for ornamental plants and crops of tomatoes, peppers, chilli peppers, and eggplants. T34 Biocontrol is a biological fungicide developed by Biocontrol Technologies, a spin-off of the University of Barcelona. This plant protection product offers an alternative to chemical pesticides; it contains spores of Trichoderma asperellum strain T34, a naturally occurring fungus that has demonstrated excellent efficacy against foliar and soil-borne diseases
