The University of Barcelona and the Catalan Association for the Advancement of the Economy for the Common Good, signed a collaboration agreement last January. The economy for the Common Good, developed by the Austrian economist Christian Felber, is a socioeconomic model that intends to drive the current economic model, based on the maximisation of the individual profit and focusing it on the common good services. EBC is ruled by a series of human fundamental values which should be applied to the economic activity, such as responsibility, transparency, honesty, equity, solidarity, cooperation, trust and respect for human rights, among others.
