The Board of Trustees awards the Honours for Teaching Quality
The second edition of the Honours for Teaching Quality given by the Board of Trustees of the UB has awarded the teacher Concepció Amat Miralles, from the Department of Biochemistry and Physiology at the Faculty of Pharmacy in the category of individual teaching career, and the Formació Docent i Innovació Pegagògica group (Teacher Training and Pedagogue Innovation, FODIP), led by Dr. Francesc Imbernon Muñoz, in the category of Teaching group. These honours aim to encourage teaching quality and promote and honour the teaching excellence. The individual category distinguishes the relevant teaching career of the teaching staff in the UB and the teaching group awards the improvement and innovation initiatives of teaching teams and groups, and the promotion of teaching coordination mechanisms, each of these categories has a fund of 5.000 euros.

The FODIP group has dedicated great part of their activity to the teaching innovation; it has been distinguished since 2006 by the University and since 2011 as Grup dʼInnovació Docent Consolidat (Consolidated Teaching Innovation Group). In the last accreditation process it won the first position in the ranking of the Teaching Improvement and Innovation Program (PMID). Within its long career, there are 18 publications in magazines of scientific interest, 50 books and book chapters, 60 communications in national and international conferences, 3 Teaching Innovation Projects, 4 contracts in this category, and Teaching Innovation actions with a direct impact on the teaching improvement of teachers and professionals nationally and internationally with whom they keep collaboration.
The jury was co-chaired by the rector, Dídac Ramírez, and the President of the Board of Trustees, Salvador Alemany, formed by the President of the Academic Committee of the Board of Trustees, Francesc Boada; the vice-Rector of Teaching and Language Policy, Manel Viader; the sub-Director of the Institute of Education Sciences, Xavier Maria Triadó Ivern; Núria Aymeric representing the Board of Trustees; Andrés Millán representing the students at the Board of Trustees; Elena Cano and Max Turull, teachers of the University, and Miquel Amorós, Secretary of the jury.
