This initiative continues the experience from the academic year 2014-2015 at the Faculty of Education of the University of Barcelona with a masterʼs degree on Secondary School Teacher Training in Ecuador and postgraduate studies on Early Childhood Education, followed by more than 800 students. Joaquim Prats said that the good evaluation that the Ecuadorian Government is making out of this collaboration with the UB shows that they now want to go on with new projects.

The new masterʼs degree, aimed at Ecuadorian students, will be blended learning (face-to-face learning will be in Ecuador). There will be a 70% teaching staff from the University of Barcelona and 30% from UNAE. The two-year lasting course will start in February 2017 and is a dual degree of the University of Barcelona and UNAE, with a 2.125-hour university teaching.
