Agreement between the University of Barcelona and the Spanish Cooperative Society for Pharmacy
The acting rector of the University of Barcelona, Jordi Alberch, and the president of the Spanish Cooperative Society for Pharmacy (COFARES), Carlos González, signed an agreement that will promote the use of educational and research resources for the training students in their supervised practicum. The event took place on Thursday, November 10, at 12 h, at the Sala de Juntes room of the Rectorʼs office.

The event took place on Thursday, November 10, at 12 h, at the Sala de Juntes room of the Rectorʼs office.
This program establishes a collaboration between the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences of the University of Barcelona and COFARES, through their Training Institute (IFC). This agreement will be valid for the academic years of 2016-2017 and 2017-2018, and can be prolonged in the future.
The new agreement will promote the professional development of the tutor pharmacist - UB collaborator- and will ease the implementation of pharmaceutical services of quality in the receiving centers, apart from contributing to guarantee the effective and safe use of drugs.
COFARES is a cooperative of drug and health product distribution, founded in 1944 and leader in Spain in its field. This entity, with more than 10.600 pharmacists that are cooperator partner and more than 6.000 pharmacies as clients, acts as a potentization agent of the sector that contributes to strengthen the health system of the country.
