The Rector of the University of Barcelona, Dídac Ramírez, and the President of FC Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu, had a meeting in order to strengthen the ties between the institutions they represent. The President of Barça was accompanied with the commissioner of Espai Barça, Jordi Moix. There was also the attendance of the Vice-Rector of the Group UB, TIC and Common Services, Josep Antoni Plana.

Ramírez and Bartomeu tackled on issues of common interest for both institutions, which are neighbors in the Les Corts district, where the Diagonal campus and the international excellence campus Barcelona Knowledge Campus are located. One of the issues they talked about was about Espai Barça, a project by FC Barcelona which proposes, among other actions, to build a new Palau Blaugrana (sports stadium) and reform Camp Nou (football stadium). The Rector and the President of Barça  agreed to strengthen the collaboration in order to guarantee the well-being of the neighbors of the district as well as the one of the university community, that share the same spaces.
