David Gallardo-Pujol, new Secretary-General of the European Association of Psychological Assessment
David Gallardo-Pujol, tenure-track 1 lecturer from the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychobiology, at the Department of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatments, has been appointed Secretary-General of the European Association of Psychological Assessment. This appointment makes him -from now on- to be in charge of all the administrative work in EAPA. Among his main tasks, he has to send certificates, safe-keep the documents of EAPA and secure the report presentation on the appointments of the Executive Committee, the general assemblies and budget reports and balance sheets.

EAPA aims to increase the scientific interest on psychological assessment, and improving its study, as well as theories and practices, promoting psychological assessment among young scientists and professionals and creating opportunities for the scientific exchange regarding psychological assessment. In particular, the Association aims to emphasize the exchange between European academics and Europe with the rest of the world regarding psychological assessment. Also, EAPA edits the journal of reference European Journal of Psychological Assessment, Gallardo being its adjunct lecturer, together with the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP, Division 2). Finally, EAPA organizes the European Conference on Psychological Assessment every two years, and which will take place in Lisbon (July 5-8) this year.
Professor David Gallardo Pujol is the coordinator of the consolidated research group Structural Equation Modeling and Item Response Theory and author of more than thirty-five scientific articles appearing on indexed journals. His research interests are focused on the interaction between personal factors (geneticsʼ or personalityʼs) and environmental factors (social, situational or development factors) when defining specific factors. He is especially interested in the improvement of the psychological measure, mostly on personality, but he has also worked on other factors related to anti-social behaviour and victimization.
