The UB condemns the terrorist attack in Barcelona: against terror, united for peace
The University of Barcelona and all the university community, teaching staff, students and the administration and service staff want to truly condemn the terrorist attack that took place yesterday against the people in Barcelona and all people visiting, as well as the other attack in Cambrils last night.

Our first thoughts go to the victims and their family members, to whom we send our condolences in this terrible moment. The University of Barcelona is with you.
Also, we want to give our recognition and pride to the task carried out by the police forces and emergency services, hospitals and all the people who helped and did something to face the terror, showing the strong values of this city.
Barcelona has always been a symbol for freedom and democracy, diversity and multiculturalism, which is what terrorist are fighting. The University of Barcelona, home of knowledge, research and dialogue, is totally against violence and dogmatisms.
We call all people in the university community to join the moment of silence today at 12 noon in Plaça de Catalunya and stand for the greatness of Barcelona and its people.
