The ʻReport on the academic year 2016-2017ʼ has been published
The University of Barcelona has published its Report on the academic year 2016-2017, which shows the most outstanding activities and main data of the institution over the last course. This yearʼs edition continues with the design line from previous editions, which are used in other institutional publications, such as The University of Barcelona in figures. The report has been written by the Technical Bureau of the Rectorʼs Office and edited by Editions and Publications of the University of Barcelona, with 220 copies of the Catalan version to be distributed both within the University and to several organisms and institutions linked to high education in Catalonia. Like last year, Spanish and English editions will be available online in the upcoming weeks.

The Report on the academic year 2016-2017 is a summary of the most relevant activity carried out in the University during last year, on the fields of education, research, innovation and knowledge transfer, showing its presence among society and in the international area. This is completed with a website that offers more statistical data. The report is divided into five themed areas: “A university spanning the centuries and serving the community” which summarizes the main data of the University of Barcelona and important government current affairs; “University focused on people” including the services to the university community and the institutional and cultural activities; “A university at the forefront of education”, which gathers the academic offering and support services for teaching; “A university at the forefront of research”, which analyses the research activity, technology transfer, knowledge and innovation, and “A university with international reach”, which focuses on the international institutional activity and mobility of the several university groups.
Like in previous editions, each chapter includes opinions from different members of the groups that build the university community, on themes related to their fields. It also provides extracts from articles that were published in several media, regarding the reviewed activities. The content goes with several photos, reproductions of posters and other graphic material that illustrate the content, as well as some figures that are important regarding the last academic year.
