The media they studied are those appearing on the ProQuest - News & Newspapers database. The authors compared the distribution of the journalistic texts per universities and countries according to six variables: production in the Web of Science, age of the university, amount of students, amount of lecturers, number of bachelorʼs degrees and number of masterʼs degrees

Some of the most distinguished conclusions of the article suggest that the oldest universities are those appearing the most in international media, and that public ones have more repercussion than the private ones. The study also notes that the UB, the University of Navarra and the University of Salamanca are those with a more international profile.

Moreover, the biggest area of impacts from the Spanish universities takes place in North America (65 %), the United Kingdom /10 %) and India /5%).
