The UB is organizing a summer school aimed at helping businesspeople, entrepreneurs and researchers to develop new business solutions aimed at raising awareness on eating habits and support healthy ageing.

The UB is organizing a summer school aimed at helping businesspeople, entrepreneurs and researchers to develop new business solutions aimed at raising awareness on eating habits and support healthy ageing.

This project, coordinated by Cristina Andrés Lacueva the lecturer of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences of the UB, is funded by the European consortium EIT Health, counts on the participation of the teaching staff from the Faculty of Economics and Business and external companies (Nestlé, Groupe SEB and Casa Ametller) and institutions from the field of nutrition such as Institute Karolinska, Alicia Foundation and the Fragility and Healthy Ageing CIBER (CIBERFES).

Under the name “Innovating the Joy of Eating for Healthy Ageing (INJOY)”, the school will start on June 25 and finish the training on July 4 at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences of the UB (Joan XXIII, 27-31). Thirty students coming from eleven different countries will acquire the knowledge to develop a business idea through different sessions on innovation in nutrition, lectures by experts, and so on, and will present their business idea at the end of the course.
