The third meeting of directing committees of the Northern Mediterranean Transactional Campus alliance, formed by the Aix-Marseille University, La Sapienza University of Rome, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and the Univesity of Barcelona.


The rectors of the four universities, and the vice-rectors, rector deputies and other representatives attended the meeting. The aim of this meeting was to reinforce this interuniversity association. As a result, the content was focused on the strategic analysis and design of new actions to take in the elaboration of teaching and research projects regarding previously identified common areas: water, nutrition, food, archaeology and heritage; Mediterranean studies, migration and governance; new materials, nanoscience and nanotechnology; ageing and neuroscience; health and biomedicine, and physics, astrophysics and access to space. They also debated on future institutional perspectives. Rector Elias highlighted the singularity and suitability of this network.
