The 22nd edition of Els Juliols, the summer courses of the University of Barcelona, started last Monday. These take place from July 2 to 20, in morning and afternoon shifts. This year, there are twenty courses specially aimed at a professional audience which last 16, 18 and 8 hours. The courses, which have already 1,300 registered students, provide society with the knowledge and research carried out at the University.

The offering is structured in ten theme areas, ranging from Art, music and cinema to Technology and energy, going through Economics and business, Philosophy and Natural Sciences and environment. Also, some of this yearʼs courses cover specific topics such as Entrepreneurship: more than a company; State: revolution and repression; May 68: imagination, utopia and power, and the Women Summer School.

Some registrations left for the second and third week courses

There is some place left for more registrations regarding the courses of the second and third week. Registration can be done until the first day of each course. The website of Els Juliols offers the complete program of the whole offering as well as information regarding the enrolment and the academic recognition of the activities.

As usual, the program for Els Juliols includes many new things. The second week offers courses such as Learning to be from tutor accompaniment, Divine love and human love, and Medicine and Art.

The program also offers those courses that were most successful in previous editions, such as Views on talking children abuse, and Internet of things: materials, techniques and devices.
