The current editing team is led by Rosa M. Miró-Roig, professor from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences; Jordi Pau, head of studies of the bacherlorʼs degree in Mathematics, and Josep Vives, academic vice-dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, all of them members of IMUB.

The international acknowledgement of Collectanea Mathematica over its last ten years has positioned it among the top journals of this area. Its impact factor  (quotient between received citations and published articles) has gone from 0,432 in 2007 to 1,035 in 2017. Rosa M. Miró-Roig believes “the improvement is the direct result of the editing task when deciding the studies to publish, which always award the scientific quality”.

The journal, among other measures to promote the studiesʼ scientific quality, created the Best Paper Award in 2017. This award, worth 2,000 euros, is given to the best study published in Collectanea Mathematica. The awardee of the first edition was Professor K. Li for the article “Two weight inequalities for bilinear forms”.

JCR is a yearly publication in the Web of Science, belonging to Clarivate Analytics. It is a database which offers -in an objective and systematic manner- an evaluation of the most important journals in the world, with quantifiable data and statistics based on citation data. Apart from Collectanea Mathematica, there are other journals of the UB such as Geologica Acta, Scripta Nova and Revista de Historia Industrial.
