The vice-rector for Teaching and Academic Planning of the UB, Amelia Díaz, presided the ceremony in the Paranimph, full of students from the schools that got into the finals. Other participants were Artur Font i Vidal, business manager in Santillana in the Mediterranean area; Bàrbara Pastor, director of OraToga, and Joan Mateo, secretary for Teaching Policies in Generalitat de Catalunya, who closed the ceremony. The ones to award the prizes were the Mayor of Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Jordi San José Buenaventura, and the councillor of Education, Childhood and New Citizenship of the same city, Mireia Aldana, together with the councillor of Education of the City Council of Hospitalet, Jaume Graells.

This yearʼs call was aimed at students in Baix Llobregat coursing all years of secondary and upper secondary education, in Catalan, Spanish and English. About 800 students from more than 75 high schools registered to take part in the contest. Eleven out of those hundreds were selected to participate in the finals, who, after a previous training, had to present their texts in public in the big final.

There were three prizes for the finalists: € 1,000 to the first one; € 500 to the second, and € 300 to the third one. The jury assessed criteria such as directness in the presentation, the use of an assertive language, declamation, empathy and emotionality, body language and persuasion strategies.
