Institutes and research centres
Research institutes promote and undertake interdisciplinary and/or specialized research activities in various fields of science, technology and the arts. Increasingly, they may also provide scientific and technical consultancy services in their area of expertise.
Currently, the University of Barcelona has around thirty research institutes, which include UB-specific organisations and those in which the UB participates, as listed below.
