Film director
Isabel Coixet (Barcelona, 1962) studied Contemporary History at the UB. She is regarded as one of the most internationally renowned filmmakers in Spain. She has made seven feature films to date, including "Too Young to Die Young" (1988), "Those Who Love" (1995), "Things I Never Told You" (1998), "My Life without Me" (2003), "The Secret Life of Words" (2005), "Elegy" (2008) and "Map of the Sounds of Tokyo" (2009). She has won Goya Awards from the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for best screenplay adaptation and best original song for "The Secret Life of Words".
She also plays a vital role in the advertising industry and has created the Miss Wasabi production company to produce documentaries and videos for recognized artists.
