Award ceremony for the twenty-first edition of the Peace Research Prize, aimed at research projects by upper secondary school (baccalaureate) students addressing issues related to the culture of peace—that is, the knowledge, skills, values, and practices that make peace possible, understood as a social condition that enables the full human development of all people and the eradication of all forms of violence (war, human rights violations, oppression, exploitation, discrimination, alienation, etc.).
Some of the themes linked to the culture of peace include sustainability, the protection and defense of human rights, civic participation, international solidarity, the solidarity economy, initiatives for social and global justice, conflict, interculturality, and more.
The aim of the call is to promote education for peace across all upper secondary education streams and to strengthen the culture of peace through research.
