The activity is titled The Ancestral Mystery of UB. It will be open on December 13, 14, 20 and 21, and it is free of charge and suitable for all audiences, including families with children. The University of Barcelona wants citizens to feel part of the celebration of its 575th anniversary, and the escape room is a fun, family-friendly proposal that will allow participants to discover one of UB’s most iconic spaces, as well as part of its history and its contribution to society.

The escape room will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and will last between forty-five and sixty minutes. 

During the activity, players will face ten challenges in spaces such as the main hall, the Ferran Soldevila garden, the Paranimf gallery, or the cloisters of the Faculties of Mathematics and Computer Science and of Philology and Communication. Participants will take on the role of investigators from a paranormal agency whose mission is to save humanity’s knowledge. Aliens warn that human wisdom is in danger. The only way to save it will be to find an antidote in a temple of knowledge such as the University of Barcelona.
