For almost forty years the official image of the University of Barcelona's Sant Jordi Day has been the poster by the Faculty of Fine Arts.

The initiative to design a poster for Sant Jordi Day came from the Faculty of Fine Arts, which commissioned a commemorative poster from the artist Josep Guinovart in 1987. This work initiated a tradition that has continued to this day, in which renowned artists—some of them professors at the very same faculty—have had the opportunity to participate.

The posters are part of the Collection of the Faculty of Fine Arts, the center's heritage collection, and constitute an exceptional graphic exhibition that adds new works to its collection each year.

Its uniqueness lies in the personal interpretation each artist makes of the meaning of St. George's Day, sometimes with a reinterpretation of the iconography usually associated with it, and at other times with a more spiritual or social re-signification of the character or the celebration.

The poster of Sant Jordi of 2026 is the work of Jo Milne. With the title "Blueprints for the future: Look, now what we read", Milne's work merges past and present, within the framework of the 575th anniversary of the foundation of the University of Barcelona, an institution committed to memory, the present and the construction of possible futures.
