The objective of these V Conferences is to highlight the musical heritage of the 19th century and propose a way of questioning, studying and understanding the past from visual and sound sources that allows us to renew and broaden the horizon of understanding the art and musical practices of the 19th century. While contemplating the multiple aspects of music with respect to social and cultural heritage (oral, written, sound, organological, iconographic, etc.), and trying to apply the study of the past to the present reality and its projection towards the future, in these 5th International Conference on Musical Heritage specialists from very different fields have been invited, in order to approach musical and artistic heritage from a transversal and multidisciplinary perspective.
