Spain – Assistant facilitators required

The European Citizens Bank project aims to empower citizens from five eurozone countries to come up with recommendations on what the future priorities of the European Central Bank (ECB) should be . The project consists of an open financial education platform that offers online deliberation tools and national debate spaces that will be open for five weeks per country. During these five weeks, citizens will be able to engage with national experts and central banks representatives through webinars and contribute to the debate on the platform. The final event per country is one full-day online workshop or two half days, where 30-40 citizens will review the discussions of their fellow citizens, have their say on the debate, and produce concrete recommendations that can be presented to the European Central Bank.

We are looking for people/students to assist a professional facilitator who will lead this final online workshop. The exact date of this deliberative event is yet to be confirmed, but it will most probably take place in two parts of 3-4 hours, during the afternoon/evening of Friday the 18th and the morning of Saturday the 19th of June. You will receive facilitator training ahead of the event on the 3rd of June (9-13h), and you will be remunerated €250 for your work.

We are looking for someone with the following profile:

– Highly developed emotional intelligence

– Ability to lead a neutral debate

– Interested in citizens participation/deliberation, EU politics and monetary issues

– Tech savvy (ie ability to use video-conferencing/webinar tools such as zoom and collective intelligence tools such as Miro or similar)

– Good understanding of English, fluent in Spanish

If you are interested or would like to find out more, please don’t hesitate to contact info@europeancitizensbank.es telling us a little about yourself, your skills and experience, and about your interest in the project.
