I graduated in Archeology at the National School of Anthropology and History (Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia - ENAH) in Mexico in 2014 with one of the first theses on biblical archeology carried out at said school: “Análisis Funcional De Espacios A Través Del Estudio De Las Áreas De Actividad De La Antigua Ciudad Judía De Taricheae O Magdala, Israel, Durante El Periodo De Ocupación Romana Del Siglo I D.C.” (“Functional Analysis Of Spaces Through The Study Of Activity Areas Of The Ancient Jewish City Of Taricheae Or Magdala, Israel, During The Roman Occupation Period Of The 1st Century AD”), led by archaeologist Marcela Zapata of the Universidad Anáhuac México Sur and under the tutelage of Dr. Luis Barba and Dr. Agustín Ortiz from the Archaeological Prospecting Laboratory (Laboratorio de Prospección Arqueológica) of the Institute of Anthropological Research (Instituto de Investigaciones Antropológicas - IIA) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México – UNAM).
During the years of study of the degree, I carried out practices in the Templo Mayor of Tenochtitlan (Mexico City) with archaeologist Camila Pascal in a project led by Dr. Leonardo López Luján and also in the “Teotihuacan: Elite y Govierno” project by Dr. Linda Manzanilla Naim, both in Mexico.
From 2010 to 2012 I worked continuously as Archeology Coordinator at the Magdala Archaeological Project (Israel), of the Universidad Anahuac México Sur, excavating a Jewish city from the 1st century AD.
In 2013, I participated in a megafauna excavation project in Mexico City with a team from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) led by Dr. Luis Barba, Dr. Joaquín Arroyo and Dr Agustín Ortiz.
In 2014 I participated in the excavations of the Guenfouda cave, in Oujda, Morocco, in charge of Dr. Hassan Aourage.

From 2014 to 2017, I participated in four excavation campaigns in the international project “Biodiversidad y Sociedades Cazadoras Recolectoras del Cuaternario de México”, Santiago Chazumba, Oaxaca, Mexico of the INAH and IPHES led by Dr. Joaquín Arroyo and Dr. Ramon Vinyas.

During 2014 I worked on an excavation project in San Pedro, Xochimilco, Mexico City. In 2015 I worked at the Institute of Anthropological Research at UNAM as an assistant and research assistant to Dr. Luis Barba, participating in conducting chemical analyzes of pavements and ceramics for various national and international archaeological projects; as well as in the field work of several geophysical prospecting projects.

Between 2015 and 2017 I completed the Master's in Mesoamerican Studies at UNAM with the work“Estudios arqueométricos para identificar actividades relacionadas con la alimentación en el pasado: residuos químicos en cerámica doméstica del sitio arqueológico de San Pedro, Xochimilco”. Directed by Dr. Luis Barba and under the tutelage of Dr. Alessandra Pecci, Dr. Agustín Ortiz and Dr. Luis Vargas Guadarrama.

From 2010 to 2018, I carried out chemical residue analysis and participated in the geophysical prospecting of various projects of the Archaeological Prospecting Laboratory (IIA-UNAM). In the first semester of 2018, I taught the subject of Excavation in the ENAH’s Bachelor in Archeology and participated in the systematic prospecting project in the Cundiboyacense highlands of Colombia within the project “Arqueología regional en Tunja. Estudios de los patrones de asentamiento”, Boyacá, Colombia led by archaeologist Pedro Argüello.

Since 2018 I have been doing my PhD "Societat i Cultura" (H0N01), specializing in Archeology at the University of Barcelona, under the direction of Dr. Alessandra Pecci and Dr. Luis Barba. The research line is the study of food in the past through chemical analysis.
Since 2018 I am a member of the Equip de Recerca Arqueològica i Arqueomètrica de la Universitat de Barcelona (ERAAUB), 2017SGR1043, thanks to the Commissionat per a Universitats i Recerca of the DIUE of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Since 2018 I have participated in the project “Proyecto interdisciplinario para la identificación de un nuevo centro de barrio en Teotihuacan, México” led by Dr. Alessandra Pecci, Dr. Natalia Moragas of the University of Barcelona and Dr. Luis Barba and Dr Agustín Ortiz from UNAM financed by the MCDE and the Palarq Foundation.

Research lines

The main line of research that I am currently working on is the study of food in the past through the analysis of chemical residues in ceramics.
I also work the analysis of chemical residues in pavements to identify human activities.
Household archeology, the study of activity areas, archeometry and Biblical archeology are topics of my interest and experience.
I focus my attention on the Mesoamerican area, and I am interested in the study of Roman contexts in the provinces of the Middle East.
