The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
General objectives:
- To gain broad knowledge of the main concepts and principles of people-centred care.
- To be introduced and acquire training in the handling of the most relevant tools that help develop a better people-centred health care.
- To acquire a more detailed understanding of the processes and procedures that relate quality of care to people-centred health care.
Specific objectives:
- To learn the taxonomy and terminology of people-centred health care.
- To learn to develop concepts such as people's satisfaction and experiences.
- To implement the use of tools that help assess people's experiences and satisfaction.
- To be introduced to patient empowerment and the tools that help develop it.
- To acquire bioethical standards through their application.
- To learn the main communication models.
- To understand the role of neuro-linguistic programming in topics related to communication between people.
- To acquire a more detailed understanding of emotional coaching as communication strategy.
- To acquire skills to adequately manage team work.
- To acquire techniques to better manage team work.
- To acquire a more detailed understanding of clinical simulation initiatives as tools for improvement.
