RECOMMENDED APPLICANT PROFILES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Graduates in medicine or psychology. A total of 15% of places offered are for graduates in Nursing, on the basis of their curricula.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

- To learn how to define, update and explain the concept of sexuality and its biopsychosocial, human and cultural aspects.
- To study sexual anatomy and physiology, the male and female sexual responses, sexually transmitted diseases, sexual dysfunctions, psychosexual development, the process of building sexual identity and the determination of sexual roles.
- To understand the role played by the sexologist and to acquire the skills to work professionally in this field.
- To carry out tasks related to the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases and health education, and to promote good clinical practice and the use of scientific evidence among sexologists.
