The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.

- To learn about the main external systems for assessing the quality of health systems.
- To learn the advanced system for designing quality plans.
- To learn the main strategies for knowledge managing in organizations.
- To gain knowledge of the principles of organizational innovation.
- To learn strategies for records policy.
- To learn about the system of internal audits.
- To learn the principles of monitoring and benchmarking systems.
Specific objectives:
- To learn the ISO, EFQM and Joint Commission systems for external quality assurance.
- To learn other standards and quality assurance systems.
- To learn the relationship between organizations' strategic plans and quality plans.
- To learn the steps in the design of a quality plan.
- To understand what knowledge management is and learn its sources.
- To learn the main tools in knowledge management.
- To learn the main types of documents that are most frequently used by organizations.
- To learn the principles of evidence-based medicine and nursing.
- To learn the principles of innovation in organizations.
- To learn advanced uses of a list of indicators.
- To describe the auditing system for internal evaluation of organisatons.
- To learn the types of strategies of benchmarking principals.
