RECOMMENDED APPLICANT PROFILES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

University graduate and undergraduate students in the field of humanities and social sciences, and all those interested in acquiring tools to read and understand medieval documents.

Access requirements: Students should have completed at least one subject in Paleography and Diplomatics or the extension course "Reading and interpretation of Catalan medieval documents".

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

- To learn the instrumental techniques required for reading, analysing, dating and interpreting documents produced in Catalonia between the tenth and fifteenth centuries, of different types and in different media.
- To be introduced to the study of medieval Latin to understand the contents of the documents.
- To know medieval Catalan documents and the institutions that produced them.
- To acquire tools for the dissemination of documentary heritage: transcription and correct editing of texts.
