- Professionals and applicants with accredited experience or an interest in working with young children and their families.
- Graduates in teacher training (specialization in early childhood education), social education, social work, nursing or pediatrics.
- Graduates or holders of pre-EHEA diplomas in education or psychology.
- Vocational training graduates in early childhood education or related disciplines.
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
- Acquire knowledge, strategies and skills for teamwork with children and their families, so as to contribute to increasing the families' confidence in their competences as educators of their children.
- Acquire further, strategic understanding of the different professional roles and tasks, multidisciplinary team work, planning, and community and network practice.
- Acquire specialized training for educational intervention with young infants, with the participation of families.
- Reflect on one's own educational practice, learn to write report and observations, and evaluate the different tasks and projects carried out, to guarantee service quality.
- Reflect on the conceptual referents to understand the different social and cultural contexts of families with young children.
- Acquire basic strategies and resources to create one's own work place for young children.
