RECOMMENDED APPLICANT PROFILES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Graduates in Medicine or Nursing, with an interest in acquiring skills in dealing with the critically ill and in emergency situations. No previous experience required.

ADMISSION FOR APPLICANTS NOT HOLDING A DEGREE QUALIFICATION:

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Postgraduate in Fundamentals of Critical Care Medicine and Intensive Care, to acquire the theoretical knowledge in the care of a seriously ill patient in the pre-hospital emergency, in the emergency room and in the ICU; related to pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, monitoring, actions and therapeutics; also adapted to the most prevalent issues of developing countries.
