Access for anyone without a university degree: This education provides for the possibility of admitting students who are not university graduates, who are eligible to obtain an advanced university diploma. In this case, previous experience in the sector must be demonstrated and the curriculum vitae and academic record of the last training must be attached, together with a letter of motivation on the interest in taking this course.
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
General objective:
- To deepen, strengthen and sharpen a critical, ethical and practical vision in the area of disability.
Critical perspective:
- Know the historical and conceptual evolution of the different paradigms and their models to understand, train and raise awareness about human rights and people with disabilities.
- To equip themselves with the necessary tools to analyse, diagnose and understand the social situation of people with disabilities and to delve into the new challenges that arise in the field.
Ethical perspective:
- To promote and disseminate the paradigm of personal autonomy based on the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
- To promote the value of inclusive culture for the improvement of the quality of life of humanity and the development of the ethics of good living, recognizing the role and resource that people with disabilities can represent in this process.
Practical look:
- To know the current situation of people with disabilities, and in particular that of women and girls with disabilities through the double prism of gender and disability.
- To acquire the ability to develop a proactive function and represent a constructive force to face practical situations of discrimination, contributing to improving the quality of life of the people involved.
