Aimed at: all those people with a particular interest in Turkish language, culture and literature.

ADMISSION FOR APPLICANTS NOT HOLDING A DEGREE QUALIFICATION:

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

- Study a literature that arises in a geographical context described as oriental and that includes a true cultural and religious melting pot.
- Analyse the origins of Turkish literature through the traditions of Central Asia, Upper Mesopotamia and Anatolia.
- To make known the fundamental elements of an Islamic and Turkish identity and literature located outside the Arab world.
- To make known literary alternatives to the Western European canon in particular.
