Graduates in Medicine, specialists in Cardiology with an interest in Heart Failure.
ADMISSION FOR APPLICANTS NOT HOLDING A DEGREE QUALIFICATION:
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Learn more about the medical treatment and devices for Heart Failure
- Facilitate methods of relationship with primary care and referring hospitals
- Know how to identify advanced heart failure
- Know how to identify and treat cardiogenic shock
- Know the indications and contraindications for heart transplantation, perioperative management and long-term complications
- Know the indications and contraindications for circulatory support, both short and long term, know how to do perioperative management and long-term complications
